Do you know how to properly wash your hands?

In a USDA study, 97 percent of participants in a test kitchen did not wash their hands properly. Here is the proper way to wash your hands:

  1. Wet your hands with clean, running water, turn off the faucet, and apply soap.
  2. Lather your hands by rubbing them together with soap. Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers and under your nails.
  3. Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds.
  4. Rinse your hands under clean, running water.
  5. Dry your hands using a clean towel.

Computer Privacy

Tired of Microsoft Win-doze spying on you? Then install the Debian Linux operating system. Before you use this downloaded media, you should verify it is authentic.

If you want real privacy while surfing the Internet, don't use Windows! Windows gives away way to much information about your computer even if you just turn on your computer and don't even use it. Debian Linux does not do that.

Your connection to Mynetblog.com is secure!

The highest grade of encryption available is being used on this server to encrypt the connection to your web browser. The Mynetblog.com server gets an "A+" rating for our implementation of the SSL/TLS protocols. This server uses 256 bit encryption. Most website's only use 128 bit encryption if they are even using encryption at all.

HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) with long duration is deployed on this server. This means that your browser will always connect to this site using the HTTPS protocol even if you click on an HTTP link to get here.

There is no good reason for any website to not encrypt their connections to their users web browsers. We are using free SSL certificates from Let's Encrypt. People would sometimes use the excuse that the high price of purchasing a certificate was prohibiting them from implementing SSL encryption. With free certificates, this is no longer an excuse.

Besides protecting your privacy as you browse the Internet, having an encrypted connection to a website protects your computer from active man-in-the-middle attacks against your computer. An active man-in-the-middle attacker could secretly add their own evil Javascript program into the code of a web page you are viewing over an unencrypted connection and trick you into clicking on a link that causes you to do some unwanted action such as visiting their attack website where they can hijack your computer (video demo). Encryption is not just for protecting your privacy anymore.

Please see our section about computer security for ways you can protect your computer while you are web browsing.

Using Tor will not stop all attacks to your computer when accessing unencrypted web pages. An attacker could be operating an evil Tor exit relay waiting for unencrypted web pages to traverse through the relay.
